Richard “Dick” Tennyson
Since 1998, Dick Tennyson has been volunteering with the Jekyll Island Authority and contributing to the Hollybourne Cottage project. While it is reported that Dick initially became interested in volunteering for the Jekyll Island Authority for the golfing perks, he soon became an irreplaceable figure. To date he has overseen many projects and volunteers in his efforts to help the rehabilitation of Hollybourne, including the rehabilitation of all louvered shutters, stabilization efforts and rewiring of the structure. Dick has been a driving force behind the volunteer rehabilitation efforts and while this past winter was his last volunteering with the Jekyll Island Authority, his legacy will forever be tied to the history of Hollybourne Cottage.
