Brandy Morrison, owner and president of Morrison Design, LLC has established a diverse and impressive portfolio of preservation projects – from George Washington’s Grist mill to numerous residential renovations in Atlanta’s intown neighborhoods. In addition to being an outstanding preservation professional, Brandy has also given her time and talents freely to many civic and community organizations. It was the Georgia Trust’s good fortune to have Brandy approach us to lend her services to the West Atlanta Preservation Initiative, which focuses on affordable and sustainable rehabilitations of historic homes in neighborhoods impacted by the dynamic forces of development and real estate speculation. Brandy has provided pro bono services for our first two houses – from initial as-built measurements, through full permitting. We are grateful for her expertise and her passion for this project in particular, and to The Georgia Trust in general.
Since 1978, The Georgia Trust has recognized a volunteer of the year with the Camille W. Yow Award, which is named in honor of a longtime volunteer and its first recipient.
