Revolving Fund and Easement Coordinator
Position Description:
The Coordinator’s primary responsibilities will be managing and growing The Georgia Trust’s Revolving Fund, Easement, and a preservation loan program, with direct responsibility for engaging property owners and other stakeholders to advocate for the preservation of Georgia’s diverse resources. The position will also assist the Director of Preservation and other Trust staff with preservation and development programming, including Places in Peril, Preservation Awards, and Rambles and Expeditions. Up to 25% of the job will require work in the field, typically day trips. Some weekend work will be required to support Georgia Trust events. The coordinator must be well organized, responsible, self-motivated, and have a positive attitude.

Primary Responsibilities:
Revolving Fund/Easements Program
- Work with the Director of Preservation to develop strategies for acquisition of new Revolving Fund and easement properties.
- Respond to initial requests for Revolving Fund information and support the Director in developing educational programs associated with it.
- Identify and partner with local organizations or stakeholders who can assist the Georgia Trust to achieve desired outcomes.
- Develop marketing materials for properties and programs.
- Manage annual easement inspections on properties throughout the state of Georgia, communicate effectively with property owners in a timely manner, and encourage the donation of new easements.
- Train volunteers to perform easement inspections and manage those volunteers in the field.
- Maintain paper files and the Master Easement Database, which contains confidential
- information for all easement properties.
- Manage and easement records through established GIS systems.
Preservation Assistance
- Respond to inquiries regarding a new loan program, connecting interested parties with the Trust’s partner organizations and making site visits to properties in the lending process.
- Coordinate preservation-related inquiries by providing information and assistance via phone and email.
- Encourage participation in Georgia Trust education activities and events.
- Assists with the Places in Peril and Preservation Awards program including encouraging nominations and reviewing applications.
Other Duties
- Work with the communications department to provide information for press releases, the website, and The Rambler (the Trust’s quarterly publication).
- Participate in and support development events including, but not limited to, Rambles, Expeditions, the Preservation Gala, and Santa at Rhodes Hall.
Qualifications:
- The Coordinator should have some experience working with historic buildings, a working knowledge of historic preservation, construction, and real estate.
- Bachelor’s degree; degree in Historic Preservation is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with the Secretary of Interior’s Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Outlook programs.
- Familiarity with GIS is preferred; a willingness to learn is required.
- The ability to plan, organize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously is necessary.
- Excellent people skills, including written and oral communication.
- Must have a reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license.
Compensation:
- $42,000 – $48,000 depending on experience and qualifications
