Brian LaBrie

Brian has worked professionally in historic preservation planning since graduating from the Savannah College of Art and Design in 2001. Since 2015, he has been a co-owner of Ray, Ellis & LaBrie Consulting, with experience spanning public, private, and agency sectors. His work includes projects with the National Park Service and the State Historic Preservation Office at sites such as the Jimmy Carter National Historic Site, McLeod Plantation, the Carnegie Building at Georgia Tech, and Waynesboro High School. Brian is especially respected for his ability to communicate clearly and effectively, helping complex projects navigate the preservation review process.
As a volunteer advocate for the Georgia Trust, Brian has made an extraordinary contribution to our efforts to expand and defend Georgia’s Historic Rehabilitation Tax Credit. Brian went above and beyond the call of duty, helping to build a strong and diverse coalition of advocates and has worked tirelessly to educate property owners, community leaders, and policymakers on the economic and community benefits of preservation. His dedication and expertise have significantly strengthened the Trust’s advocacy efforts statewide.

Since 1978, The Georgia Trust has recognized a volunteer of the year with the Camille W. Yow Award, which is named in honor of a longtime volunteer and its first recipient.Â
