A Weekend of History and Hospitality in the Hostess City of the South
Join The Georgia Trust as we partner with Historic Savannah Foundation for the Spring Ramble in Savannah. Explore one of America’s most celebrated historic cities through an exceptional collection of private homes, gardens, and landmarks spanning Savannah’s iconic Historic District and distinctive neighborhoods, including the picturesque avenues of Ardsley Park and the waterfront community of Isle of Hope.
Throughout the weekend, Ramblers will enjoy exclusive access to private historic properties rarely open to the public, along with memorable dining experiences at some of Savannah’s most significant historic sites. Highlights include an evening at Old Fort Jackson, Georgia’s oldest standing brick fort, where guests will dine overlooking the Savannah River amid the backdrop of this remarkable 19th-century military landmark, and brunch at Cohen’s Retreat, a restored 1934 Spanish Colonial Revival landmark in Savannah’s Moon River District.

What are Rambles?
Rambles feature exclusive tours and social events in historic properties not usually open to the public. Tours of historic homes and buildings are self-guided and self-paced, and guests provide their own transportation. Maps and programs are provided at packet pick-up. You can pick and choose which sites to tour and see them in any order you like! Catered meals are offered as part of registration packages; however, there are tour-only (no meals) options as well.
These trips attract hundreds of participants per Ramble and are offered two weekends each year (fall and spring). Recent Rambles have included Madison, Savannah and the Golden Isles.
