Loans for Exterior Rehabilitation and Improvements to Historic Buildings
Do you own an Easement Property?
The Georgia Trust’s Rehabilitation and Sustainability Loan Program is a financial assistance tool that provides low interest loans ranging between $25,000 to $100,000 to owners of Georgia Trust easement properties to rehabilitate the exterior of their properties and make other needed improvements such as stabilization or increasing energy efficiency. Â
Property Eligibility Requirements: (One of the Following)
- The property is eligible for listing on the National Register of Historic Places (meaning 50 years old or older and historically or architecturally significant)
- Th property is located within a designated National Register Historic District or National Historic Landmark District
- The property is individually listed on the National Register of Historic Places
Owner Eligibility Requirements:
- Applicants must own a property protected by an easement held by the Georgia Trust or have purchased a property through the Georgia Trust’s Revolving Fund program.
- All work must align with the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for Rehabilitation and the funded scope of work must be completed within one year from the date the loan is granted.
