Sponsored by The Georgia Trust Industry Council, this one-day seminar in one of Georgia’s great historic cities is intended for architects, engineers, contractors, tradespeople and others who are interested in an in-depth examination of issues, techniques and case studies in historic rehabilitation and restoration projects. Join your peers for lively presentations and discussions of some of the most important preservation issues facing building industry professionals and hard-hat tours of ongoing and completed preservation projects in and around Athens.

  • Methods of retaining existing building materials in rehabilitating historic buildings for commercial, office, residential and/or institutional use based on the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for the Rehabilitation of Historic Structures.

  • Compatible design techniques for new construction to complement scale, height, setback and materials of existing historic buildings.

  • Strategies for integrating HVAC systems into historic buildings without compromising the historic integrity of the building.
