WORKING FOR ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT THROUGH HISTORIC PRESERVATION IN GEORGIA
Preservation Professionals Council Members:
- Gather informally with other preservation-minded colleagues.
- Meet new and existing owners of historic properties.
- Learn the latest restoration and preservation technologies.
- Find out about timely preservation issues throughout our state.
- Tour in-progress and recently completed preservation projects.
- Receive legislative updates and are provided an opportunity to have their voices heard.
- Participate in a large forum recognizing quality preservation work.
- Are associated with the Trust through inclusion on referral lists, Trust publications and programs.
- Attend Preservation Professionals Council Events: Hands-on and analytical workshops that provide professional education credits, with experts teaching efficient rehab strategies and techniques; hard-hat tours; receptions with state government leaders, helping shape building-related legislation; a statewide awards ceremony with 400 attendees as part of the Trust’s Annual Meeting; and two Rambles each year, visiting historic projects and houses in communities across the state.
- Receive, as a full member of The Georgia Trust, The Rambler quarterly publication, free admission to Trust house museums and invitations to:
- The Preservation Classic golf tournament held at one of Atlanta's premier golf clubs in September
- Domestic and foreign study tours
- Preservation Ball, our annual winter gala
