2010 PRESERVATION AWARDS: CAMILLE YOW VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR AWARD

Susan Starr
Atlanta, Fulton County

The Georgia Trust relies heavily on the generous contributions of its volunteers. Each year, the Board of Trustees honors one particular individual whose volunteer service has exceeded all others by awarding them with the Camille Yow Volunteer of the Year Award. We are pleased to honor Susan Starr with this year’s award. Susan’s tireless efforts to clean, restore and organize Rhodes Hall are astonishing. In addition to organizing office space, Susan has restored furniture, cleaned woodwork, waxed floors, and polished fixtures. Susan’s dedication to Rhodes Hall and The Georgia Trust inspired many to join her for a Saturday Rhodes Hall workday, which she organized. Thanks to Susan’s hard work, Rhodes Hall continues to shine as one of the grandest historic houses in Atlanta.
