GEORGIA'S SCENIC BYWAYS

As part of Preservation Month in Georgia, The Georgia Trust encourages you to support and visit our state's historic resources throughout the year.

If you’re looking for a different way to spend your Saturday this summer, take a drive down one of Georgia’s scenic byways. From the Golden Isles to the Appalachian foothills, the roads wind past many of Georgia’s small towns and historic landmarks.

To be considered a Georgia Scenic Byway by the Department of Transportation, the route must feature scenic, historic, natural, archeological, cultural or recreational intrinsic qualities that should be protected or enhanced.
