Thanks to all who submitted a design for our Uptown Rhodes Race T-Shirt Design Contest!

The Georgia Trust is pleased to announce the winners of the 2011 Uptown Rhodes Race t-shirt design contest. We had many great entries, making it a difficult task for our judges.  The first place prize goes to Gene Battle, a student at the Savannah College of Art and Design, for his fun and retro-inspired t-shirt design (shown right). He will receive $150 and a free race entry.

Second place goes to Stephanie Roman of Atlanta, who will receive $50. The third place prize of $25 goes to Andrew Foresman of Atlanta. All entries receive a one-year Georgia Trust membership and two tickets to the Trust's Halloween event.

About the Uptown Rhodes Race T-Shirt Design Contest
In early June 2011, The Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation announced a t-shirt design contest for this fall's 3rd annual Uptown Rhodes Race 5K, presented by the Dewberry Foundation. The winning design is featured on all promotional material for the event and t-shirts given to participants after the race.

About the Uptown Rhodes Race
Since 2009, the Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation and presenting sponsor Dewberry Foundation have hosted an annual 5K run/walk race to benefit the Trust. Traditionally held in the spring, this year’s event will be held this fall on Saturday, Nov. 12. The event is family and pet-friendly and open to the general public.
