The Georgia Trust and the Historic Preservation Division (HPD) of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources once again will join forces to co-sponsor an annual statewide preservation conference.
Conference sessions will focus on topics including sustainability, economic development, archaeology, African American resources, researching historic properties, historic schools, and preservation planning. Other conference co-sponsors are the the City of Roswell and the Roswell Convention & Visitors Bureau.
Registration for the Georgia statewide preservation conference is $100. Student admission is $70 ($50 for conference only - no reception). Registration includes admission to all sessions; a reception at Bulloch Hall on Thursday evening; and light refreshments on both days.

Opening remarks will be given by Commissioner Mark Williams of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources. Attendees will also hear a local perspective of the history of Roswell with highlighted preservation projects. The opening session will be located in the historic sanctuary of the Roswell Presbyterian Church. Following lunch on your own in historic Roswell, the conference reconvenes for afternoon sessions at the Holiday Inn on Holcomb Bridge Road.

Exit Holcomb Bridge Rd. (Exit 7B). Turn right (going west) off exit onto Holcomb Bridge Rd., Turn left onto Alpharetta Hwy./Hwy. 9, heading south. At the intersection of Alpharetta St./Hwy., Canton St., and Magnolia St., turn left. The next traffic light will be Oak St. (across from Krispy Kreme). Take a right onto Oak Street into the church parking lot.
From GA400 North:
Exit Northridge Rd. (Exit 6). Turn right onto Roswell Rd./Hwy. 9, going north. Go across the river and into Roswell. At the intersection of Roswell Rd./Hwy. 9 and and Marietta Hwy. (120), turn left onto Marietta Hwy. (120). Take an immediate right onto Mimosa Blvd. Proceed north. The church will be on your right.
