Augusta Canal Interpretive Center at Enterprise Mill

Tour the canal that made Augusta one of the primary industrial centers in the South. Originally constructed in 1845-46, the Augusta Canal was home to the Confederate Powder Works and several 19th century mills which are still visible today.

Sutherland Mill, 920 St. Sebastian Way
Built in 1886 as the Dartmouth Spinning Company, this mill opened beside the Augusta Canal in 1887 to manufacture yarn for making cotton cloth. The 56,000 square foot structure is currently being rehabbed for medical office suites with the goal of LEED certification, while respecting the historic significance of the building.

Brunch at Julian Smith Barbeque Pavilion

Enjoy a sumptuous brunch on Lake Olmstead in a rustic dining hall constructed in 1938 under the Works Progress Administration.
